A diamond is only as trustworthy as the paperwork behind it. SuitsMarket publishes the grading report, the pricing benchmark, and the markup on every listing — because a market that hides its math isn't a market, it's a pitch. Here's exactly how we verify what you're buying before the money moves.
1. GIA grading — non-negotiable
Every diamond listed carries a Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report. That report — carat, cut, color, clarity, polish, symmetry, fluorescence, measurements, and a plotted inclusion map — is linked from the product page. Click Verify GIA # to look the report up directly on gia.edu. If the numbers don't match, walk away.
2. Rapaport-anchored pricing (with disclosed markup)
Wholesale diamond pricing is set weekly by the Rapaport Price List. Our listing price = Rapaport benchmark for that grade × market adjustment + our platform fee. That fee is disclosed on every listing — typically 8–12%, never hidden. You always see the wholesale reference and what you're paying above it.
3. Independent inspection before you pay
Every listing includes a Schedule Inspection option. We'll ship the stone in bonded transit to a third-party gemologist of your choice — or one from our vetted network — for confirmation before funds release from escrow. You pay only if the report matches the listing.
4. Jet-to-Vault concierge
For stones above $50,000, our Jet-to-Vault concierge coordinates insured private-jet transit from seller vault to your bank vault or private safe. Chain-of-custody signed at every hop. Never in the hands of a courier who doesn't know what they're carrying.
5. Escrow — you sign, then the seller gets paid
Funds sit in a Stripe-managed escrow account from checkout until you confirm receipt and grading match. Dispute in that window and the payment reverses in full. This is the same infrastructure Stripe uses for multi-party marketplaces, not a promise on our letterhead.
